Party Trays | Jordan Meats & Deli, Lakeland MN
A meat and cheese party tray from Jordan Meats & Deli

Party trays

A tray built at a butcher counter, not a warehouse.

Meat and cheese trays made from the same case we sell over the counter, sliced the day you pick them up and arranged for your table.

Sliced the day you pick it up Built to your headcount Ordered ahead by phone

Why ours look like that

The meat comes first, the tray comes second.

A grocery store tray is assembled from pre-sliced product that's been sitting in a bag. Ours starts at the deli case: we slice your meats and cheeses when we build the tray, from the same stock we sell by the pound.

You can taste the difference in the edges. Nothing dried out, nothing curled, nothing that's been shrink-wrapped since Tuesday.

And because it's our own counter, you're not stuck with a fixed combination. Tell us what your people actually eat and we'll build to that.

Feeding a bigger crowd? Hot spreads are catering.

What we build

Start with one of these, then change it.

These are the trays we put together most often. None of them is a fixed package, so treat them as a starting point for the phone call.

Meat & cheese tray

The standard, and what most people mean when they call. Sliced deli meats and cheeses arranged for grazing.

  • Your pick from the deli case, rolled and fanned
  • Cheeses cubed or sliced
  • Ask about crackers, pickles and condiments alongside

Sandwich tray

Sandwiches off our board, made up and cut, ready to hand out. Good where people need a proper meal rather than something to pick at.

  • Mix of sandwiches, or all one kind
  • Cut in halves for a crowd
  • Box lunches are an option too

Snack stick & jerky tray

Our own smoked sticks and jerky, made at the shop. The tray that empties first at a game day or a garage party.

  • Snack sticks in the flavors we've got made
  • Jerky, sliced or whole pieces
  • Pairs well alongside a cheese tray

Build your own

Tell us the crowd, the budget and anything to avoid, and we'll put it together. This is what a butcher counter is for.

  • Any combination from the case
  • We'll tell you honestly how much you need
  • Dietary needs: mention them on the call

How big a tray?

Tell us the headcount. We'll tell you the size.

Guessing tray sizes off a website is how people end up with twice what they needed, or half. One phone call sorts it.

  • How many people, and what else is out

A tray as the only food needs to be a lot bigger than a tray sitting next to a hot dish and a cake.

  • How long it's out for

An open house where guests trickle in over four hours eats differently from a lunch that starts at noon.

  • Who's eating

A graduation open house and a job-site crew are not the same appetite, and we'll size it accordingly.

When people order them

Trays show up at all of these.

Graduation open houses

Guests arriving across an afternoon. A tray holds up where hot food doesn't.

Game days

Meat, cheese and sticks on the counter, and nobody has to leave the TV.

Work meetings

Sandwich trays and box lunches for a room that has to keep working.

Holidays & family

Something to put out before dinner. Order early for holiday weeks.

How to order

Three things on the phone.

01

Date and pickup time

When you need it in your hands. Give us as much notice as you can, especially for a weekend or a holiday week.

02

Rough headcount

An approximate number is fine. We'd rather size it with you than have you guess at a tray size off a web page.

03

Meat, cheese, or both

Plus anything to leave off or work around. If you're not sure, say what the party is and we'll suggest something.

Got a party on the calendar?

Call the shop and we'll get your tray on the board. Sliced fresh the day you pick it up.
